Another cutie from my deep collection. This unique and folky frame has kind of an Eastlake look to it. Built up to four layers, the design really pops! The heavily alligatored varnish is its untouched original finish.
There is some VERY slight edge wear to a few tips or edges, nothing you wouldn't expect. Most of the light spots on edges are merely thin places in the varnish craquelure. There are no losses or damages. It is fitted with an old mirror, which I have covered with paper to avoid the glare and reflection. This mirror is not in good condition, with age-related silver disease (leave it, replace it, or put in a picture). The photographs in natural light show its true color, those with black backgrounds suffer from some lamp glare. The texture of the separated varnish can be seen in the close-ups. This is a pristine survivor; you won't find nicer! A special feature, seen in the last photo of its back, are the carved wooden hangers - I have added the wire. Outside size is 13" x 11 1/8", sight size is 7 1/4" x 5 1/2", rabbet size is 8 1/8" x 6 1/8". Good luck from BOSTON PRIMITIVE.
